Design Work
Pandemic Perseverance
The COVID-19 pandemic offered a major challenge for us all, but working in a fitness center on a college campus during the pandemic presented a unique and even more challenging opportunity to engage users inside and outside of our facilities.
From March through August 2020, our facilities were closed, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t work to do. We went fully remote, creating a platform for at-home workouts (see next page), and opportunities such as virtual runs to engage users.
Design was crucial in this, as we needed to stand out, but still get the point across and relay all relevant information.
Once students, faculty, and staff arrived back on campus, we shifted our focus to physical and digital signage within the facility. I created a campaign that was on-trend with current design but was able to adequately relay the information to our users. The campaign was a resounding success and became university-recognized.
